God Saves the Internet

The people who putting Disney's Brandy & Mr. Whiskers in life gotten a considerable amount of hype and attention, but not so by the medias and ratings. It's on the Internet the show and characters' popularity became more apparent. Just browse to DeviantArt, FurAffinity or other countless fan-community sites and the show establishsed already a strong enough fandom, until reruns of the show will be over in mid-2010. The cartoon series needs a good revival out of it, but sadly, in the way Disney have the now-on legal ownership and intellectual property of this thing and that nowadays, the only thing to get access to this cartoon (legally!) is on Disney+ made me rather baffling. Why is I would pay for a streaming service like Disney+ for just a cartoon series where otherwise, I could watched it at my own desire and for free?

Even as late in the game, a few people still managed to make casual fanarts featuring the leads. Here's one from 2014. That's means, so late from the MLP Bronies hysteria!

Other people like Deviantart's user 1nnocenttazlet have made tons of Brandy fanarts in the past, though she tell me to never liked the show at first place. Sometimes, people love to drawn characters for a franchise they didn't ever like if in some ways, the character of Brandy is often describe by fans at "sexual" and "cute". Two qualities that made the actual show so weird and funny to watch. But like this blog is dedicated to the actual body of the show and not all the fan-made stories and artworks featuring Brandy & Mr. Whiskers, this is best to me to keep distances with some 18+-Rated communities related to these characters (Why is we need it for a cartoon show generally targeted to kids?).

When I started to became fan of that will be the way Internet have make it popular and when the show was nowhere here in any capability. The best way to made me familiar with them is reading the episodes' synopsis, reviews, commenting fanfictions and fanart, anything else for such commodity to known more about these characters and the people who were involving in this two-seasons run.

In the older days, I didn't know the high popularity of Brandy Harrington will be for sexual reasons, let alone to be a "Furry" character. A term which I constantly dislike, just enough for made bestiality to real-life animals or to promote Porn for free to online underage users. What an American parent, in 2005, will think that their own children look of Brandy at a Pin-up or in a Maid outfit (See how blatant the fanservice to this character going on?) even if it's produced by one of the most largest medias corporations who took profit to children? Brandy & Mr. Whiskers are victims of their era. And that was when the first-ever social media MySpace (Call it the "Prehistoric" Facebook) been openly popular until to be hit hard by the likes of Facebook. Fuck Zuckerberg and your selfish needs to add algorithms and datas for sell craps at ads to users!

From what I know, the show is over for around two decades, most likely to be forgotten forever. I can't say it's the worst animated series ever, but one that has reach lots of potential to be good and memorable but that the writing sorely lacking meat or finesse for make die-hard fans invested to this. No mention it was made at a time Disney productions were in a real identity crisis on the mid-00s. The current era of Disney productions are now saddled by this, but also because they own too much things thesedays. (By the time the series was made, there was no way to purchase anything from Marvel, Star Wars or even, the entire 20th Century Fox studio.) It's clear even by its centenary, the Disney conglomerate is rather inconsistent at best, when they often have the bad habit to cancel productions as early, even those that are legitimately great and better than them, like The Owl House or in a fair balance, the 2017s reboot of Ducktales.

And some fans may describe themselves at Brandy's #1 Big Fan like this user, where he's clearly one of the only B&MW fans that are still present online. The show seems to be more popular in Latin America than in North America, considering the locale where the characters reside by accident. I still have mixed arguments of the way fans seen these characters. The fan of me knows the entire fandom and the series' are in a very comfortable lull by become more older but others made me suspect of what they ever learning by the time the show owned big time by the Internet. Even my wishes to made these characters onto a spot-gags comic project have never seen the day and I though for the way much comics are seen today by lots of people, this is for the best to not thinking about it.

If you were always on the Internet and never know anything from Brandy, Whiskers et all on your way, better to you to back off of there. This is by there the Brandy & Mr. Whiskers series having a strong following audience over the ages. Without the Furry notion or anything we could enjoy or like, the show will be dead to any mouths forever. That is why the whole show, characters and all the creative people have made a somewhat mediocre animated series to a powerful set of ideas for fans to go onto newer directions the actual show never will. Clearly a testament others average shows (as Braceface, Dave the Barbarian, What About Mimi? et allwishes to have if they know as sooner than later what they ever doing for.

Brandy & Mr. Whiskers is not just a typical buddy animated series to me and many fans. The most awesome of all it is it's a concept by itself. I only wish it gotten a better and much longer run if the actual series weren't so distracting by make it like sadistic and oft-putting Screen Gems/Columbia '40s shorts that made also us thinking "Why they exists?". That is the reason why Disney have dumped hard with this cartoon show and why it never will gotten any reboot today by be completely forgotten forever.

If a 2018s live-action movie of Kim Possible was lurked by be one the most pointless forms of reboot ever made by tons of fans of the older show, maybe it's for the best we never got a Brandy & Mr. Whiskers retread in any capability. That would be more for please their "rapists" fans than any actual merits the original crew has offered.
