Synopsis: Newly arrived Tiffany Turlington (voiced by Amy Davidson) were stuck in the jungle until she befriend Brandy, while Mr. Whiskers tried not only to befriend with them, but also "faken" a bunny friend!
It would be a perfect cartoon episode for starters on the show. Not only veteran Hanna-Barbera writer Earl Kress have wrote a simple yet, but effective storyline on the series, but it also found echoes to the "random rich girl gets stuck in the jungle" formula that stripped Mr. Whiskers' First Friend before. The cartoon begins of when the duo talked about movies genre on the beach. It was a new and also, delicate step of how the bond between the rich canine girl and the silly bunny kind of developped in each of their adventures, and that it have so a neat continuity between.Whiskers came out with hilarious answers like "Colors" for a movie genre, by even hilariously guffawing in. Then, he sobbers when Brandy says "Drama". On a heroic fashion, Whiskers act at a Star Wars Jedi with a laser saber and then, goes horror with a mortified Whiskers in. Fortunately, it's not the same extent of uglyness or needless visual limbs whom fall apart that occurs past episodes like Lame Boy or later, in Whiskers the Great, but still good for a chuckle.
It's just not enough to Brandy's narcissistic temper that she don't describe the rabbit like a smart friend while on a cutaway joke, we'll see a random fish says to not eat him. That make us wonder what Kress have to do with this mess.
In order to proving his clevereness to the doggie friends, Whiskers introducing them newer friends which he thinks looks merely a rabbit. He tried a guinea pig that then, an eagle carry him. After it, he disguised Ed onto it (See at right), using a coconut for the rabbit's head and even so, took all the junk he finding for creating a "made-up" rabbit friend that become more and more menacing while the girls...? Well, apart to argued each other about fashion, they never seen the interest to befriend a rabbit whom faken a friend. Surely this cartoon was a social commentary of the way internet has only succeed to made the fake friendship like a true topical problem, but to me, some of my friends online are better than those I could look of my way at home or work.Perfect Meme Picture if the world knows it! Exactly my feelings when I'm disagree to anything. The show has lots of funniest expressions if one paid close attention to the details.
When the robot-friend-thing make work, Whiskers and Ed are getting frightened and have to save their lives. Tiffany and Brandy don't looks impressed by that. Meanwhile, an airplane come to the rescue for save the girls. Tiffany was determinate to get back to her own home (Is she's a New York native?) while at her own heart, Brandy had to stay in the jungle for save Whiskers again of his fate (Can't she just go and let the rabbit to his own troubles?). In a typical Disney fashion, Tiffany and Brandy's friendship been break-up and the latter took a liena for save Whiskers of the junkyard-friend that he created first.
Critique:
With Earl Kress in the writing and Amy Davidson from 8 Simple Rules who joined her friend Kaley Cuoko for voiced the newer doggie girlfriend, this was a neat surprise to seen an one-off all-star cast to make one surprisingly good episode, and one that would redefined the series as a whole. The begins is nothing out of ordinary - Just Brandy and Whiskers relaxing in the beach by says about movie genres. And it's quite this way until Tiffanny appear to the scene in a hurry and gets laugh to the jungle animals living there. Despite to be a Brandy's copyact, Tiffany Turlington is one very interesting character to throughout, and her motives to be away of Whiskers' joyful lunacy are true on the character without it does aluding of the reason why she was made. Whiskers almost steals the show by tried anything to meet a new bunny friend. (Guinea pig, Ed digsuised on his, A coconut head while the rabbit mimics his voice, etc.) The true Piece of Resistance of all this is of course, the ending in which came the real-life rabbit introducing to Ed his newer rabbit friend from all the junk he found out in the jungle by even worked out perfectly at manic. Sadly, it's also in this point in which the audience would like to seen Brandy quit the jungle forever instead to save another time his "another" friend that is the rabbit he snubbed about. The episode ended sadly for Tiffany as well, to feel be betrayed by her new companion, but Kress had understood the dynamic of this series while Amy Davidson can't be more glad to voiced an incidental character for once to her many live-action roles. This segment is definitely a labor of love, by took some risks in there. Thanks Mr. Kress and Mrs. Davidson indeed!
