(Yeah! The new story is rather "billingual", which means not only I have to wrote the dialogues, both in french (My born language) and english (My adoptive one), but in spanish as well. In the time I'll wrote these lines, only eight pages were made of the story and a ninth one is currently in production. You can read the earlier pages at its content's heart by clicking here. (In english only. Sorry)
But like my vacations is close, the only thing I would do for not ruin my older characters like I'll do in the past year is the most logical one: Recreate it for the new genereation. It would be at "So radical" or "Extreme" like the 1990s obnoxious corporate trend to make old characters onto uncomfortable street gangs (I was aware when this merchandising comes from) by labelled at hip. Fortunately, by the '00s, the trend to revisiting classic Flintstones and Looney Tunes at "hip" by the same kind of medias awareness than in the 1992s Cartoon Network launch was over, but now on, these twos are aimed for a nostalgic audience and grown-ups, those who were enough old to understood the efforts that went onto what it appealed audiences of all kinds in first place.
But it weren't a choice of mine! I don't know if a comic projet of 2024s Christine is on mind, but I was rather satisfied to the late works I've done for give it a new edge and personality beyond the monotony of the series Post-Covid time.
Newer Christine Livingstone design. More Anime/Sonic-esque by give a penchant to how organized my shadding settings. I always love girls characters and on real-life wearing ties. Speaking of the "Womanizer" on me who love womens' sense of fashion!
Mary Jacob, in which I always have a hard time to give it an "use" on my stories is back to her old late-00s attitude style. The designs been more simpler but without be lazy. It results me to look of lots of AI-artworks for give me the boot I need for fix my late failures!
Siblings Alicia (Form: Cecilia) and Justin Grandger on newer attires and improved designs. At first, I've never took these twos on the same scene in the past iterations. Now that the JMLA series (In which Justin is featuring at one of protagonists) is over since the real-life pandemic, it's perhaps the perfect opportunity to developped the siblings that I never did on my past stories and gags pages. Or else, what is exactly the point to put them at brother-and-sister?
Just remember that by work and lots of obligatory adulthood chores, (Yeah, i'm old) made an artwork may took me lots of times. No mention that I go sleepy more easily due to some meds for kick my anxiety out. But unless everything I made since 10-15 years, I finally get the virtues of drawing well-cartoony characters by "check" my proportions. (A real flaw of my earlier artworks from mid-to-late-00s)
It's as if I am the only person in Earth to think seriously that most illustrations seen online and on paintings looks hundred times more inspiring and done with better care and respect to the arts than most TV cartoons/comics you'll look nowadays. They become more uglier and awkward with a gear to lose any sense of appeal or fun. I mean, who cares if 2017s Ducktales, Adventure Time or Amphibia are groundbreaking if the artstyles all sounds looks shit?
