P.S.: In the moment you tent to read this article, let me remind you a thing-- I haven't known anything about the "Brandy & Mr. Whiskers" 11-minutes segments before I tent to reviewing these. I haven't fully watched the show in years, but instead of the original english voice-cast, all I do remembered from the series was from the 2008s YouTube featuring the Spanish-dubbing cast version of the show. And albeit the series was finally remastered in HD and that did looked out better than before, the presentation was another victim of the rampant "Photoshopped" titles, those that are typical from most foreign newer prints of past shows like the way in 2020, a Post-production house has remastered the remaining of the Warner Bros. cartoons library with such dreaded results like this. For the need of this blog, we're fully compelling the show with the older, Standard version of the series, like the way it was originally created and made by what we have to do. Thank you!
Double P.S.: Unfortunately, the "Camp Rock" ad-bug keep to infuritated in all the whole episode, which missed clearly the credits featuring in the begin of this title.
In this, the cartoon episode is clearly remembering because of this...
But in all fairness, it's a little too predictable for such of a comedy plot (Faking an illness) that proven to work in any medias productions, before and after. The adventure begins when Brandy put all her laundry for washing them on the lake. Why Brandy have any of these clothes in her own but that she wear the same clothing-piece in every episodes is another question. Of course, piranhas bite all her outfit with any remarks that tell you why
Brandy & Mr. Whiskers wasn't a very ordinary TV cartoon for 2004.
In the next scene, you seen her glimpse to the mud. It's hard to be relatable to one protagonist who just ranting about how her life in her newer environment sucks!
Please, just forget the
Camp Rock ad-bug! It's this or the newer HD scan with (very!) dreary Photoshopped titles.
In the next one, we seen Lola getting a cold and that her friends, such as Cheryl, Meryl, Margo and even Whiskers give her support. That made a bright idea for Brandy to "faken" an illness just to gets such pampered manucure. If only she knows that you can't be ill in the fakery without that problems cornered you. That is something that make it more famous in the first airing Flintstones episode, The Flintstone Flyer.
But when you get the idea that Brandy is really sick, by pretending it, (Kudos to Kaley Kuoco to giving it a realistic "sick" voice) you know what is going to happening. Some bits featuring earlier in the series started to be tiresome and predictable in this one: Whiskers fails to use downstairs when he quit the Treehouse by a horrific fall, Cheryl and Meryl fight each other, etc.
Whiskers is easily the one who really trust that his friend is ill, by do anything he could for heal her. Brandy playing very well her "illness" role with such credibility that in another show, you going to seen the same character with a stock ill tone.
The way she cough really hard for hide her fakery needs an Emmy for this performance. But not this time!
But once we known that Brandy just pretending to be sick, the whole thing become a little more predictable, even for a mid-00s animated show that remains more popular for its irritating fandom than for the mainstream press.
Off-model liar Brandy. That's what you get when you make clip arts in parts like this.
After all the Amazon buddies giving her a spa manucure, her little dance and anything else, Whiskers goes to the rescue for searching a very rare flower that may cured Brandy or anyone else whom is terribly sick. But the rabbit doesn't know that the girl dog have made a phoney illness. When Whiskers goes to the rescue in the Ringtail Rock after a series of pitfalls, the other friends going to the Treehouse to help healing Brandy... but with such remedy that sounds like cruelty and abuses.

One of the rarest time where Brandy turning "green" after eating a very disgusting potion from the Toucan sisters.
Finally, Brandy have to admit that all her illness is a fraud. But in the most unfortunate moment, Whiskers came back from the Ringtail Rock with the flower that hadn't actually the "right" one he have to choosen. Instead to help to heal his best friend, he succeed to made sick everyone, including him, but not Brandy. Why? We would never know.
The one caveat featuring in this adventure is Björklund and company have cool down with their obsession for toilet and other innapropriately gross jokes. But this scene is a little too morbid for what was destined to be a Disney TV cartoon.
The resolution seen all the jungle cast sick when Brandy have to heal them, mostly by another Whiskers' error. It don't justify to what we have seen ten minutes before. It make clear that it's all a copy of the Bugs and Taz's ending short Dr. Devil and Mr. Hare, and the final punchline isn't that good at all: Just an off-sceen character vomiting and Whiskers gets to vomit at his turn. Fade out.
Critique:

Easily an episode that is more remembered by fans for the scenes where Brandy is in a spa manucure (Almost naked!) for heal herself and for her little dance, but this is just too predictable and tiresome, which it's shame when the series excelled to cool down its set of toilet and other innapropriate and gross gags from the earliest segments. Seeing Brandy ranting that her clothes been shredded by piranhas, been glimpse on the mud or be wedged on a series of cruelty and abuses by her Amazon Rainforest friends don't remove the fact that this is a cookie-cutter effort. Brandy is only too full of itself and spoiled in this one, while Whiskers is periodically too dumb (Like when we seen him three times on a horrific fall by quit the Treehouse) and naive to make trust of this dynamic. While it excelled however, is Kaley Kuoco's "sick" vocal that made her all the more realistic and natural to such of a pampered character. It's easily what you look of Brandy Harrington if she were on a true illness problem instead to let Kuoco covering her a stock "sick" voice. The designs and settings are even an improvement to the earlier episodes when the very "fan-made" look make it all the more upsetting. (Especially in the newer HD restorations.) The whole episode come close to an end by the rabbit's mistep to choose the wrong flower at Ringtail Rock by caused all his friends and him to be actually sick, after times to heal Brandy in a series of abuses by finally admitting her lie. We are let with a very depressing finale sequence with all the main jungle cast been realistically sick (except Brandy of course, and when them vomiting in the most unfortunate moment) on a tree for begging of any medical help.
