Youtuber animation fan named err, Jason, the Cartoon Fan having share few times back the ten first half-hours of the Brandy & Mr. Whiskers series, all on actual HD and the correct speed rate, which makes it more than a mere experiment to known what sounds like the vocal talents of Kuoco, Adler and company while not took from inferior SD PAL masters. It's a change of pace to what we have known of the show in years.
For a fair comparison, here's what looks like the cartoon episode Dear Diary between the old PAL master from TV broadcast and the newer pristine HD grabbed by a Disney On-Demand platform. Be warned I didn't recolored or make any adjustments by make it originally close as it was showed:
Though some sources claiming the cartoon series originally was producing on Widescreen (Like says, Kim Possible thought it seems not the case), Disney Channel always playing it on standard Definition. Granted, the show has even much bigger exposure today than it ever was while the original series was seen. YouTube weren't coming yet and streaming platforms a la Netflix and Disney+ were Sci-Fi braggarts. Just the desire to watch anything on a streaming platforms was something I dreamed on by 2005, when the show was originally seen, but now, I am worry for the generation of my nieces/nephews with all these layoffs our own medias had suffered on this long year.
Even on the mid-00s, mainstream culture was stuck to what could be says today the "Dollarama effect"; in which any creative works have to be made cheaper and faster for economic sense, but it abruptly kills the work of creators and art as a whole. The 2023s culture suffered hard by what has happening over 20 years earlier. We don't made art for a better world, but for fullfill the lobbies agendas. The show was one from the latter unfortunately.
In the next week, I am gonna share here my own critique of this particular cartoon because it weren't frankly fun and funny. To thinking a TV episode that give a lesson about privacy would be made more better, like says in MGMs Jerry's Diary, in which Tom ripped and shredded the rodent's diary after read it (Coupled by a bunch of clips of past shorts from the duo) by give him a rare moment of justice and then, win. Thought as a cheater, watch it instead of this rare example of orgy of sadistical humor that occurs Dear Diary at one of my least favorites segments of the Brandy & Mr. Whiskers show thus far.
