When Brandy and Whiskers turn to Pokee-mons

I highly doubt that you don't known who these guys are.

These are the three main characters from the original Pokemon TV Anime from the Indigo season. Brock, and eventually, Misty and Ash along with Pikachu. You can't miss them anymore, even if you tried hardly to keep avoiding it. Let me explain why: (Of course, this picture is a fanart. Not something that have actually happening in the show.)

In the older days, there was an instant online rage about the fact that Ash Ketchum and Misty would be notably, a romantic couple. A fine idea in paper, but that had never happening in the original series, despite what naysayers would says. Like with Brandy and Mr. Whiskers, they didn't have to met first, aside to standing each other. It was muchly a turn of events. But because online fans are crazy as batshit, they have sells the gimmick of a pseudo-romantic couple that even the worst of the Hallmark movies would never touch it, even with a ten-foot pole. It keep me distracting in this day to how it emerged the relations I have with lots of fandoms.

The bulk of AI-Generated artworks only worsen my patience that such futile shipping could living on its hype. Their relationship is muchly based of the fact that Ash was an incompetent Pokemon trainer, who had just known the conventions by what he seen on his TVs while Misty was somehow, a mentor. Although her hard-temper have always tells me of my own ramblings. If you tried to divulgate this in the street, not sure people would get which "whimsical" thing you talking about.

Remember that in the real world of entertainment, shippings don't pay them the bills. Only merchandising and views does that. Pokemon was about interact the audience to the mysterious world of Pokemons. Not about romance. The Anime series keep using Ash for over a quarter-century and now he's gone (Who is not getting tired of him?), he was replaced by two newer characters for the Pokemon Horizons saga. But like with the alternate Ash design, characters designs from the new season/series are less appealing by tragically lacked the many layers and dimensional personalities of what made the earlier series so great to watch and studying.

What this have to do with Brandy & Mr. Whiskers, you may think? First, the protagonists never having to met each other but nonthenless, accepted to do common goal and learn to co-housing each other. Brandy was about to get away of the Amazon Rainforest because of another rabbit's awkwardness. Misty was about Ash broken her bike. Both shows worked well, but in different directions by own and still own a favorable fandom in this day. When Brandy's fandom seems to stripped away since the reruns of the series have ended, the one from Pokemon came out by nostalgia.

But let me tell a thing: A romantic couple like the way lots of fans speculate with the AshxMisty pairing would be periodically oft-putting and deranged if the same thing does happen in the real life. Couplings does usually with lots of sacrifice, working hard and lots of compromises in order that their union will work and made sense. Lots of fans make it like a very superficial and whimsical relationship that seems to me more childish than entertaining. If they have many things to says, better to seek doctors and took their medicine if they are horribly stuck to their own illusions. At the end, it's like people who never made the differences between fictitious characters, themselves and a real person anymore. And on a time we need to get discipline and civility back and make us away of screens.

But thankfully, the producers weren't stupid. They did anything to not figured it in the actual show, thought some jokes about the supposed pair have settled under the radar. This is perhaps a good thing the AshxMisty couple never happened on series before to seen the crew wasted their talents onto a generic and lukewarm Hallmark canon. Anyway, who in the first-generation of the Pokemon audience still demand it a quarter-century later?
