Launch of a new girl character (Again!)

Created two weeks ago (May 8th), Abby became my newer "hot" creation all around, letting away with the mundane and formulaic tone of Lydia Goulet to the graveyard for one whom I am constantly more in involvement to give it life by myself.

Abby is what I would call, not another obligatory heroine, but a person. Because her personality is describe like she is getting too much wedged and spanked by her schoolmates and even so, by her mother Delilah, althought I kind of developped on BDs pages the bond that establish this mother-daughter dynamic. Even by all her flaws, Abby knows that her mother is not always the authoritative mother figure Delilah pretending to.

An obstacle that came from my own tiresomeness with the barrage of Mary-Sues that splitted to the radar for some time. Dupuis for a while, is being very reluctant to that, by making these newer narratives like lame "Infomercials" than from we would remembered when their dark days were coming. The past year, it was Amy. This month is Mi-Mouche and then, Ark Atlas. Not hard to imagine what would be like if they will picked the Asterix property for themselves and churned out profit with it!

And that is also me trying to going onto a new direction, a new pattern. Because I grew sick of the same Christines, Sarah and others Anthro-things that went looked all the same. I think have done enough with them. Like, 16 years! Not bad for a series that is destined to be crudely drawn like someone who has "patched" random images and dialogues as a heaviest-lifting.

I was also able to known how to execute better the characters' eyes with the simple form of basics: Something that make it wrong all the time before.

In this time of bland, trite and mediocre artistic mess, this is what we'll get if you spending the past twenty years learning your craft. Back in 2005, there was no characters at all -- Just mere ideas. A year later, Bugsy and Christine came on, but Bugsy became my mascot for the first years of creation. It do took me three years before to give another chance to the vixen-girl one and the rest is history.

This is why I have taking down all the past projects that went like if I never learned anything from the past and go up with something else. Knowing that wedgies artworks own a (very!) favorable cult status in the Internet, maybe this is time to take it at its advantage, even if the Christine's antics by Post-COVID all started that.

Because the 2020-24s era were rather awful by not knowing what to do with the Furry character. It shown literally that its time have passed. Even in the 1960s, the Warner Bros. characters and shorts became like a shadow of their former self, with productions budgets been cut, film composer William Lava took his intrusive and harsh musical score in the cartoons after the Milt Franklyn's passing and then, an edict was set to producing more Speedys, Daffys and Road Runners by Deptaie-Freleng for sells to Television with all an excessive battering in production quality. And the less says about Cool Cat and the 1967-69s Seven Arts, the better it seems...

While Lydia Goulet became muchly an AI-creation where I losing quickly interest for more Kim Possibles, the existence of Abby in my creativity meant that I also deserve another chance. It do took me five years and many past failures to find a perfect Christine's replacement. Abby is frankly, more likable with better personality than the orgy of stock heroines that is seen in current times. Don't you think?
