But then, in 2010, the book editor Glénat (Not Jacques Glénat) gotten the exclusive rights of any Disney licencing that featuring many of the early stories of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and others. But some may find it appaling that the dialogues were retranslated on a very murky way.
And then, it reached the point of original stories, like the topic of this post. Writer Jul whom, is known for his own Achdé's Lucky Luke series writing or the cringe-worthy Silex and the City (Is he had paid Sarah Jessica-Parker for taking the Sex and the City's show name? Not so.) and cartoonist Nicholas Keramidas did the drawings, which it's a bit of weird that looked like those ugly 2013s Mickey Mouse cartoons shorts (Looks like a bad John K's best reels in these), but in less offensive for my eyes. It speaks nothing that a newer attempt from WDTA was in order to producing a newer reboot of Ducktales years ago, but the less says about this, the better.
I haven't read this, neither ordered this book even if I would. But that really surprised me that the Glénat lobbies have approved this, if the wealthiest life of Scrooge McDuck can't came up at forever. In the wake where his nephews became Influencers, the Techs guys who creeped out all the social net, no mention the culture of wealthiest by social media that dominated the complex issues with the reality of people, a story release about this can only work where it's still a hot thing. Thinking to released it years ago will be a little ill-fitting and who knows if social media will stays with us in five years or less.I'm sure that some readers will thinking that the newer Disney stories trying too hard to be "modern" like the way we complained all about re-inventions of past classic characters in the 90s/00s era. But finding comedy to contemporary trends is not easy task, if you have to do your homeworks and lots of searchs for getting the best plot possible. Be modern is not "acting" like a cool kid for be hip, but to thinking of any of our speechs and actions. The Americans don't known what they've missing by this.
What the American Disney's division offering, then? Lots of souless live-action repeats of its old movies, a newer Pixar bomb, a pointless sequel of 2003 and 2018's Freaky Friday and better to not argue about Zootopia 2, on a time where the majority of the society have no choice to cut corners for pay the rent and the basic things. Meanwhile in Europe, the Walt Disney name is part of a cultural heritage, even if by some, the name itself is seen like one of the biggest 20th century's "scam".
And let's be honest here -- the fact that it's a France book editor that does a better job with the Disney universe than the Americans themselves remains at a testament of how these characters were looked elsewhere in the world. The Bit-Coincoins gag in the title make sense for any speaking frenchies all around if that were related with the natural duck's sound. Even Daffy Duck, at his greedy days, would never attempted such of a flux like this.
