When even Québec Solidaire, a millitant politic party with very fewer followers are desperate to save the Made-In-Québec dubbing of the show of complete oblivion, I would like to tell them that the deals between Corus and Disney (The now-"Simpsons" owner) weren't that good in current times and that this is not the role of a politic party to carried on the business of the dubbing studios. Another new that didn't make lots of noise in media lately is the permanent closure of the Nelvana studio and the Shaw Rocket Funds shutdown, which it do helped on the creation of Canadian contents for youths for the past two decades.
To say nothing that in general, animated contents in Canada were seen so often at commerces and with very dismal results. Remember the eerie My Like Me Anime knock-off? Rocket Monkeys and its extremely crass jokes? Or that thing that name Winston and Dudley Ding-Dong and its parade of loud and grating vocals jokes? If this fund deemed necessary for Canadian producers, it remains us at audience of why my taxes would be use for such murky and gross shows that in the America or elsewhere, it went dated since imitating Tex Avery or Chuck Jones had stopped to be relevant. It's since a longtime, you know.
What were my mind by these cancellations? To be fair, I am rather indifferent to this. Yes, it's shame for audience who still watched Teletoon At Night all nights, but the adult block itself needed a good upgrade for over a decade and more. Though they showed the uncut version of Naruto in the past, it didn't ended all its run for instead, to be showing at early in the morning very later on Unis TV which that appear to be only just-Anime of what they showed to the youths there.
And then, everyone has took the appeal of this Made-in-Québec dubbing cast for granted. It all started on Super Écran, back... in 1991! It didn't took long that TQS earned this and still do since this day. The inclusion of the Springfield family and celebration and satire of the working-class people on Teletoon is a little more egregious, especially if that were having enough "adult" materials to fill times at late-night. The english Teletoon has torn it down back in 2001 for Comedy Network (CTV Comedy Channel today), then, on Much in 2013, and now, it's being a CityTV/FX thing along with Family Guy while the twos appeared for many years before for the Premieres on Global.
Now, what left for the newer Teletoon At Night block? It is something that was needed for years, which you seen that Corus Média want the adult-block to matured a little more. Finally, adding such DC current materials like Kite Man: Hell Yeah, Creature Commandoes or My Adventures with Superman weren't by happenstance. It was a plot device to keep Télétoon in good shape, where the animated network faced with complicated financing problems.
In the older days, Teletoon/Télétoon was seen in the internet like a very hellish place for animation creators. I am sure that you having to read several of them through the days of forums and even so, by the likes of Facebook or MySpace.

This is easily what Corus Média having to do with this stupid Adult block for a longtime! No offense for Family Guy or Simpsons fans. I have seen them when it was still new and watchable, but after years to not stopped to renewed, the two comedy shows (Along with American Dad) appeared to me at dealbreakers. No mention that we are not longer in 1995 when the Matt Groening cartoons characters were seen in every channels, by an agreement to be playing on slightly edited copies for syndicated channels in the America, and also on CBC. (Yeah, with your tax too!) The days where these prime-time cartoons were kind of everywhere are now over. It can't be that awful.
And glad to seen My Adventures with Superman back in air after one month of hiatus! This leads up at a perfect companion for the serious and mature animated content that most twenty-something youth adults asked for to Télétoon on years and also, to the whole medium.
