It's easy to give flaks to AI to just mimic the vocals of people or that it may kick workers out of their job, but what about in drawings?
The sad truth with drawings, especially for the ones who made a living with, is how hard and tricky it is if you all done it by yourself, no matter how much years you are involving in. Even by promising new tools like mere Wacom tablets, made a drawing effective and in focus is a pretty difficult challenge. And because true, natural and gifted artists are a rare breed in this age of cultural blandness.
Even by my own criticisms with AI, I have to give it credits. They've make some impressive results if I paid attention to be detailled and type lots of words beyond my researchs. If you just put fewer words there, sure that it's rarely been exactly of what you ask for.
I started a series of AI-fanarts related to the character of Gwen Tennyson from the very overrated Ben 10 franchise. Creator Man of Action pull a very corporate boy-centered animated show with a lead character who is more jerk and grating and even the talented vocal of Tara Strong at Ben didn't helped. However, cousin Gwen is one where I have a soft spot to a antagonist girl character. For once, she is not the "obligatory" heroine that was fucked-on onto too much fantasy series. She would prefer more to studying and think of her future than chasing lame aliens in her free-times.
That gives me such fun and delicate AI-works of her I've done on the last weekend. Even on DeviantArt, I was amazed to the many likes and faves towards these things. And just because you made fanarts about some characters DON'T meant you enjoyed the productions they were featuring first!
