Anyone who have grew in the life of riley have probably never heard of the inflation-- the expensive foods price, the interests rates, homes and rents became a rarity nowadays and then, you have a generation of posers who have anything to do in life, but wear sunglasses and doing 'Tude! This is the kind of customers you can met if you going on on the newer shopping center they have just opening in North Montreal yesterday, the Royalmount. At someone who thought seriously that be rich begins by education at home, it made me thinking in which kind of planet these developpers ever going.
In later times, I have ask myself how such individuals can turn out to be in retirement by the "magical" age of 40. When I known people who are more older than me who like better to work than stays at home, the new shopping center reminds a lot of the bombardement of the biggest mall of the city, Les Rivières, and their so-pretented fancy and high-culture for items that I wouldn't paid myself, even if I would be rich. This is like happiness have to be made by a generic Gift-Card or by watched Infomercials. This let us a world that is materialistic already, but when constructions are anywhere in Montreal City and also in regions and with class people that are never been that divided than in the older century, a wealthiest shopping center like Royalmount looks fun on paper, but become an hindrance and eerily disconnected on our era, when foods services have many pains to occur to funds in order to feed the poorer and other outcasts of the society.
There is like many better things to be rich as fast than just announcing your retirement at young or do the high-life by be taxes-free. You have to either, investing, sell stuffs, made an investment account, do your part for community or pay your taxes like everyone. But because there is some who never get the point that happiness is not in the material, the real wealthiest force goes to communities instead to do all alone. This is like returning in the Post-War days when many Industrial shorts were made for solicit people to trust the industrials and companies, but looking of the way the Digital world and banks have never be that rich and spoiled than before, this create a line of no-return between the normal, average people who have many pains to pay their bills and the crass, rude and greedy firms who are more busy to their career than the service they tent to offers to clients. Because Royalmount would be unfocused if none customers going on to their stores, either by traffic or because their things are too costly than even in sale, it's a "no-hum" for all those with delicate budget.
Besides, another mallshop in our areas is another mistep for a much greenery world, away of commercialization and erratic marketing agencies who think known better to anything than those who are concerned. I have no point to going on mall shops on my off-days. Why? Because I have no more time to that. And that nowadays, by the many constructions works and the toxicity of drivers and people, we can't be safe anywhere we'll go. It's as if owning common sense is boring, because the Monoculture (The culture we have all shared in the old 20th century) of old have disappear to the radar for a multi-diverse one that mostly looks of someone who drawn generic Hentai on his or her basement. Why I would care to something only less than five people knowns its existence?
Because the traditional mainstream medias of old only create mediocre, blatant stuffs that are looks the sames than those we have just seen a month ago. We have Podcasts that are pretty informative and fun because this is people like you and me who do the luckless task to "disseminate" the topical things on the way real people can understand. I've seen some of them here and there, and it's clear it going to change the way to be informed and, muchly better than the TV news with hosts who can't spell and articulate anything right. A class of diction have to be made for any TV hosts in the business.
The Royalmount in comparison, looks to me what the elite ate and grab in quest of greed and narcissism. If in Three Rivers, the number of rudeness, uncivility and arrogance have multiply by universities and social medias, not hard to think what it looks like to be in Montreal City all-day long...
