Bugs Bunny Collection's Reissue

Anyone who were came from the 2020s apocalyptic breakdown year of every business by a supposed coronavirus, for coin a word, likely known that the same year, the Warner Bros. cartoon star Bugs Bunny, gotten eighty years, straight from his inaugual 1940s introduction in A Wild Hare -- A significative milestone in animation history -- from a Tex Avery at his pre-MGM peak, to a brand-new wabbit design done by Bob Givens, to given the cartoon an Oscar nomination (In the first full year when none Disney shorts are been nominated or wining) make this charming film one of the brightest debuts of cartoon character ever made.

That was this year when the original, Blu-Ray "limited-edition" release of Bugs Bunny's 80th Anniversary Collection that Jerry Beck and especially, Warner Home Entertainment bragged a lot for months by even delayed the initial release. That frustrated animation fans and consumers for the price and the inclusion of a Bugs' Funko-Pop vinyl figure that just the meaning of a "Limited Edition" collection-set appear in 2020s words at listless. At least, the DVDs Walt Disney Treasures series (It need a Blu-Ray upgrade!) back they were brand-new, weren't stuck with useless tidbits or items and were able to be sells directly to consumers for a decent price, and just for obtained the selected shorts in these packages.

I own the original 2020s edition and really, this is a collection-set that nailed to never came. In all, 60 of the Bugs' filmography are including in three discs there. Selected in order of theatrical release, by be not just limited to a mere Best-Of, but an anthology of the rabbit character's career by adding lots of shorts that fans waited for too long to be part of a disc compilation release. The remaining twelve shorts from the 2010s Best of Bugs Bunny DVD are featuring there, Blu-Ray double-dip and fan-favorite Bugs Bunny Gets the Boid is part there, but the rest are either, Home Video, Disc or HD Debuts, upgrades from an unrestored print or even so, fixed the awkward aspect ratio from the 2010s first wave of the Looney Tunes Superstars line when around 20 Post-1953s cartoons were presented cropped, by ultimately make missing any parts of action in the shorts that were usually showed in Full-Screen format.

To say nothing that this Widescreen process is more bothersome when originally, that was done at the time the whole world known a thing about this supposed 1953s shutdown of the Warner Bros. animation loot that only lasted six months.

Now that the 2020s Blu-Ray edition is definitely out-of-print, just before Holidays, Warner Bros. Entertainment/Studio Distribution Services announced a normal re-release of the Bugs Collection set, by even omitted the number, year and age of the character featuring in the cover. A little like in 1990 when Warner Home Video agressively pushed re-release of several Golden Jubilee tapes in honor of the rabbit's 50th birthday year, this is a rather welcome addition to any fans who missed their chance with the original set, and because they didn't wanted that toy!

So, marks your calendar, folks! March 10th is where Bugs Bunny Collection is been available back in stores and anywhere, without any mention of an exclusive release.

From a time where physical media shrinking by the popularity of streamings and Fast ad-on Supported Television, this is still refreshing to known that a Blu-Ray collection of classic cartoons still attract fans, new and old, and when the restorations of them are never been that better and better than it ever were in decades.

Speaking of restorations, several Bugs' shorts featuring there were restored for HBO Max by a Post-Production house, and where egregious mistakes are been more apparent short-to-short, just enough to make some die-hard fans at cringe. Fortunately for this release, the greatest stuff outweight the bad ones and nothing there appears at fillers. A rare feat for a Bugs Bunny Home Video collection.

(If you do count the many Collector's Choice, Collector's Vault, the past Platinum Collection sets on Blu-Ray or the remainings from the Golden Collection and Super Stars DVDs that need to be in HD, there's very fewer on his filmography that are left.)

The 3-disc set is available on Amazon for pre-order.
