Jerry Eisenberg

Seems that the blog's shutting down was temporary, but this post was an important one to every Hanna-Barbera fan like I am.

Jerry Eisenberg has passed away at age 87, due to pneumonia. He was part of the second generation of artists primarily from his father Harvey. His contribution on MGM and Warner Bros. and more importantly, to be one of the top artists and headers of the Hanna-Barbera (And later, a stint at Ruby-Spears) studio's success is been undeniable.

The Yowp's blog resumed in details all his history and long achievement on animation from his former years at MGM to be one of the top famed animators/artists in any levels.

All our condoleances to his wife Raymonde and relatives and thank you for all the enjoyment and memories in all those years. Unless there is one survivor around, all the crew who contributed to the H-B studio's big successes and achievements are long gone.

Here's an interview with Jerry from the YouTube's Scooby Panel Podcast that was recorded over a year ago. This guy deserve all the love and respect he ever had that most celebrities and big stars today would learn from it. (Thanks Mark Evanier for the link.)
