Quebec's Simpsons are here to stay

The biggest Corus' announcement of the week have nothing to do with the eventual drop of all the Nickelodeon property from their TV kids Specialties, especially YTV. It have to do with... the Quebec's dubbing-cast of The Simpsons where Télétoon has officially decided to not renewed his part of contract with Disney for pursuing the 36th season of the iconic animated series created by... you know.

There is nothing I would says about our local dubbing-cast of the Prime-Time show that was already says here and there. It's a hit from every households, by created tons of jobs over the past 35 years and more and one would dreaded to seen our broadcasters ran the weird France's dubbing version instead. (Like where Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Pretty Woman and fewer others that have benefited of a Made In Quebec dubbing cast to be in the obliviouseness, abandonned by OUR broadcasters by shown the France version instead in later TV airings)

Aside of that, it's like some rampant decisions to took the France's cast of some The Flintstones episodes when our local dubbing version of the same episode that date of over a mid-century (Despite how campy it would be today, but I guess that it's a version that reflect its era.) exists yet on circulation. Some of our main TV broadcasters seems to put tons of hate to our dubbing-voice actors and actress, by be one of the more neglected artists out there, on a time where you have either, the Artificial Intelligence that will be able to cloning the screen actors' voices in any languages without any human contact, the people who hate subtitles, and those who claims out loudly that dubbing pictures, TV shows, etc. is likely vandalism to what the original creators wanted to says. This is not help that several times, some dubbing versions may have a penchant for lazy wordplays to what the original lines don't.

A petition is available online for keep in life the show's dubbing-cast, along with the ones from Family Guy and American Dad, that Disney+ has ceased also its licencing. By September 29th, the Télétoon la Nuit adult-block will never be the same without these.
