Back to Basics with my drawing style

Since 2023, a severe hung made me the feeling that there's something in my creativity that didn't click well. I tried everything to went on a newer comic project, but nothing of them worked out well, either to bad timing or the sloppy execution of my art. I still used a very old Photoshop which I am glad to get it rid for Krita in the ending year of 2024 where another re-start of my PC make the Photoshop of old at unopened. It do took me three long hours to found a replacement that it works, and be constantly free, without any 30-days trial trap that we'll all scared of.

2025 was slightly better than in the past two years. The Christine Next-Gen saga has ended its run the past year and any attempts to revive it weren't that thrilling, for the fact that I am no longer comfortable with the Furries fandom to toxic and very mean-spirited several of them in the internet became. I trying a much bolder one with the Lydia and Tommy project by forty pages, but the execution were lacking off, with ideas that went elsewhere than actually build a story. At least, I tried to do my own thing.

Now, I went back to basics with the Christine-Bugsy-Alicia dynamism and washed out the siblings thing that I have developped since the 2018s Series 2. By what? A fun romantic comedy that went likely the reversal things of the Popeye's Fleischer/Famous formula. You know, the Popeye-Olive-Oil-Bluto love triangle?

The firsts pages have to came out after Holidays by be able to delivering their "newer" designs, on a humanized form. I tried to given every of them an Anime look that is become my own artstyle after over a year to thrown away the Anthro things of old. What a pleasant change of all the distracting things I've done for two decades! This is not easy to keep the same characters forever and keep these fresh. By the horrific NSFW arts done in the past month, (I even seen one of my later artworks be removed by the DeviantArt's administrators this week) it do forced me to went back to drawings again, after not fully known what to do with my art. We really are on an age where artists have fewer influences than they ever were before by be more tame lecturers than real people who ask for lasting mentality changes.

The term "life-observation" in art is now on, replaced by took a random image on Pinterest and redrawn it, and this is certainly the problem why I don't longer watch new animated features or TV shows in ages, to how formulaic or cynical most of these things are became. I don't know how much pages I would work in these. I don't have any answer for that. But by the Krita's help and that I can managed to own already-organized Mangas pages like in real-life Mangas books, this may helps me a lot to matured my comic artist after and finally, make the painful task of creating pages more easier.

These past three years given me a good lesson that you can't just retread the past, but that you can just doing it better. Wish me luck for this new unnamed project!
