The reason why "Last Christmas" don't have anymore a following

WHAM's Last Christmas is a cult hit to many 1980s music fans. The cheesy tone of the tune don't that bother me, but every elements that made this memorable song a Holidays tradition is here; It celebrate the simple joy to be together on Christmas time in a cottage, far away of the loud honk and noises of the big cities.

But by my work in the remaining weeks, one have to question its existence if this song sadly break the "record" of the Holidays tune with the more godawful retreads, which sometimes, the artists who remade them haven't even getting the permission of the 1980s pop band crew. It's all downhill to what would be otherwise an one-off effort.

Like my post from last year, many modern-day Christmas tunes versions embodying more on the cynicism, from a very artificial look of what the true Holidays spirit have to be about; It's about giving and cheering. Not how much gift-cards you ought to have!

And let's not forget that with the inflation of everything, people are hurry in bargain stores to own a Christmas meal for less, because the meat price has increased like cheeses and any delis. This is not clerks like me who are privilegiate to the inflation of any essential needs. It's peoples from the top.

For such of an underground pop band from the 1980s decade, the WHAM crew sure going to regret that their Christmas tune could existed. The music video is beautifully stunning, from a time where images on a song made sense instead of the cut-down of clips from old stuffs like went on any 90s TV cartoons promos with overbearing and loud screams.

I am going to take a break of this blog or anything for the past two days be be out of home tommorow for Christmas Eve. The upcoming project is already started, and I've saw what I have lacked in my past three years of creativity, when the Manga fad has tried to hunged me.
