A little topic about Misty Williams

I have to admit, I own a soft spot for the firsts Pokémon seasons, by be well-written and animated for what destined to be produced on the cheap. Like many longtime fans, I also having a crush for Misty, Ash's companion in his journey to be the Next Pokémon Master.

The grown-up fan on me has put the attempt to created several AI-fanarts of the character in later days, something I never have done or better before. The short-tempered girl is just perfect to the cast. Something that without to be the stock "Voice of the Reason" trope, shown also her weakness on her temper to be either agressive (To the way she is been bad with Ash or Psyduck countless times) or a scaredy cat to simple bugs. She also been a mother, by chance, of a Togepi, yet, in the middle of the Indigo era.

Misty was and stays the reason why I loved watching the Anime back it was new. I don't going to put conspiracy about her love affair with Ash if that was already documented elsewhere tons of times. But obviously, Misty never confessing her feelings to him in the show, but she shown respect to the boy in his best ways like in his worsts parts.

But after years to wait about getting the bike Ash has broken in the first episode, (Hint: He's actually refund her with a new bike!) that was it for her! It's bad news for fans because we were highly attached to the earlier crew. Newer Poké-Girls like Serena or May have no matchs with Misty, as the need of a girl at Ash's "obligatory" companion was in the cards back the original Anime was made...

Just for fun, I have imaginated Misty on her younger adult years, by took the initative to be a skilling Pokémon Trainer at her own. By keeping true to the character we known and love, I wanted her something less childish with some pink vest in her. The need of black gloves to her hands are a pretty neat gimmick to shown strenghts and edgyness, but hardly necessary. And instead of her ridiculous short jean, the twenty-something Misty prefered long jeans instead.

I hesitated very much to do this attempt if I remembered how the 1999s Poké-Mania has driven me crazy and ill-fitting to the teen in developpment I was. The show still exists over twenty-eight years later but the old cast is nowhere to be found. And Rachael Lillis (Misty's original voice-actress in the America) has passed away last year. It's sadly a character that seems to be badly neglected by the TV Anime crew, so much that her re-appearences in the recent seasons were more fanservice by lacked the novelty of what made the earlier seasons so impressive to watch, for 1998s Television.

I grown a soft spot for her because she wasn't litterally the automated heroine badass that were generally screwed up here and there, but simply a pre-teen girl who doing up her usual business, by likely been forced to join the Ash's journey for have destroyed her bike. (By also taking it in the most unfortunate moment without her consent!) This is like that everyone wanna seen a Ash and Misty Show TV Anime be in progress, but without Lillis to performing the character, it's lost cause.

The only consolation we could earn is keep continuing our appreciation for an underatted Poké-Girl that made many fans in the world in heaven back the Pokémon series was something that some Parenting Groupings will take it with a graint of salt... And I only hope that they've change their minds! The franchise's fandom is the one that are the more respectful as of late, by also point the passing of the voice-actor who voiced Meowth. Like Rachael Lillis (Which she also voiced Team Rocket's Jessie), James Carter Cathcart have put big contribution to the Anime's success in North America. Veronica Taylor (Original Ash's American voice) would be proud to make the Anime like a legacy, but in a very Horizons-esque era, it's like everything been so badly Digitized and simplified, compared to the more natural lush artworks from the Indigo to Johto era.

Maybe it's a good thing to have quit with the highly overrated SONI-KUUU! The mature fandom of it is now nowhere to be found and what Paramount has done with the Sega's characters by their fucked-up trilogy of movies are exactly what is terribly wrong with the blue hedgehog character and his pals for a longtime. You can't shown nuances or seriouseness with this, even if you try. This is why many videogame fans are stick with Pokémon, Mario or Zelda. At least, they're stays sacrosanct.
