How sadism can help them to pay the end mets

In the older days, like in the 1990s through now, you could seen somehow shows or movies that consists of characters been injured or suffered of the worst kind of fates at possible. There is even a trope for describe that: The Sadist Show.

As any fan of animation or fiction media is aware, nobody enjoy to see our heroes be abused harmly or shown none sympathy or kindnenss to any of its peers. Longtime based of slapstick, this kind of humor been vicious and cruel, and without we ever get anything for our troubles. Examples are many, and they're parts why these shows never went be back on any capability in the modern-day age. (Thankfully!)

For have watched many animated contents in years, I can easily count lots of them to be included in this list. For some creators, showing visual pains to the audience is a way like anything else to be able to pay their end mets. But the reality is no one wins if all what you do for make a moral message in the episodes' ends is twenty minutes of Humor Porn. The Brandy & Mr. Whiskers animated series (Remember! That was the reason why this blog is made) also have to be part of the Sadist Show list, with characters been mean and sadistic each other and othertime, pains are more devious and infuriating, which makes speaks why the animated series is now in the hate list nowadays for a biggest part of the audience.

There is the difference between Irreverence and Sadism: The sort of Irreverent animation is exactly what made the Looney Tunes original shorts at timeless and appealing for all generations, and reasons why, unlike the very monotonous classic Disney shorts et all, they still seek an audience almost once century after they were born. We can debate that most of the Looney one-liners were based of radios shows or audio ads from their time but aside of lacked complex personalities, they help them to stays relevant again even if you don't figure where these lines were come from.

Sadism is, anywhere they does with characters been cruel or kill each other or been a complete a**hole. This is not humor, unlike you'll think it at a dark social commentary of society. But in these, there is none enjoyment. What animation need to keep track of the artform that is loved for generations is listening the critics. Reading the reviews, online or otherwise. And also, COL-LA-BO-RA-TION between the writers, animators, producers et all. I am not the one who going to knock people of whom it's their bread-and-butter, but sometimes, constructive criticism is key for help animation to be a more mature artform than in our memories. The current '20s era of animation is one that finally achieved what empathy, kindnenss, respect and resilience are better values for a succesful program than just sadistic jokes.

And they did a better job than most graphic novels and comics that does too preachy or woke nowadays. Aside to be too homogeneous than it ever deserve. No one wanna get back to the days where main characters been jerks and narcissic a**holes and where the rest of the cast aren't better, but it's something that need to be teached to lots of current real-life people, them with their ugly sunglass, loud music in ears or smartphones anywhere by shows none respect to anyone. It epitomized what the world of Internet, Reality TV, Influencers and social medias have made the Occident societies at hypocrites and too individualistic and selfish than they gets credits.

This is part why many people in our society dream to go in Japan. For seek silence, relaxation and sacrifice than we do lost here since Covid. Because the world we start to made looks a city dump if one paid close attention. The Animation artform have caused a disservice due of some executives and producers' greeds to make the characters at hip for the younger audience, but it's barely key for engage them on a longer basis. In 2024, they would better find another job instead to keep insisting that gross, violent and sadistical humor still works like in most current Nicktoons shows. This is mostly by that animation have entering in its Renaissance in the early-1990s, and for what it's worth nowadays, it's not that great.
